Hello, Dr. Ryan here, and today we’re diving into knee issues. Knee pain can manifest in various ways, whether it’s through the patella tendon, the joint line on either side, or above the knee near the quad muscles. Each area requires a targeted approach for pain relief and improved functionality. For patella tendon pain, I often use a fascia distortion technique, working on the attachment site to enhance stability. Additionally, addressing the quads with soft tissue work helps alleviate pressure on the kneecap, promoting better movement. Now, when it comes to meniscus issues, traumatic tears and degenerative tears have different considerations. Traumatic tears may need consultation with a physician or orthopedic surgeon. On the other hand, degenerative tears can often be rehabilitated without surgery. Today, we’re going to discuss running injuries and how hip strength plays a crucial role in preventing them. Recent research shows that strong hips are linked to a reduced risk of running injuries. Decades later the dietary landscape has shifted, and popular diets recommended for health are now high in fat. So, are fats good for you or bad for...
